Considered to be traditional massage and one of the most widely practiced and best-known massage techniques, Swedish Massage provides the client with a general sense of relaxation and well-being. It is particularly useful for improving circulation of the blood and lymph. This in turn increases cell nutrition and thus speeds healing from injury or strain while lowering blood pressure and relieving stress. The client generally disrobes to the level at which he/she is comfortable and is covered by a sheet except for the area of the body receiving therapy.

Deep tissue therapy is used with other techniques when needed. The therapist must understand the layers of the body's tissue and uses slow, deep stokes and heavy pressure on trigger points. There is less emphasis on relaxation and more emphasis on alleviating referred pain. It is usually focused on the specific part of the body causing the pain rather than the whole body.

CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of the craniosacral system that can release restrictions in bones and fascia. These restrictions may be the result of either physical or emotional trauma and lead to pain because of decreased flow of vital fluids and inhibition of nerve transmission. It is considered a deep modality although only light pressure is used.

Reiki is a simple and safe form of energy healing that can be performed with other massage or alone. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect.

This gentle, feather-light touch modality reduces and prevents fluid retention, removes toxins, and supports the immune response.

Sinus massage with LDT can relieve congestion and stimulate the unobstructed flow of mucus through the nasal passages and away from the sinus cavities. Aromatherapy can also be used to help open the sinuses and relieve pressure and is an effective addition to the sinus massage protocol. Infection is a contraindication.

Massage Cupping is based on a procedure used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) but modified for the massage room. The suction level is generally less, and there are less frequent “cup kisses” than in TCM. Massage cupping can be used to treat bursitis, plantar fasciitis, tendonitis, sinusitis, and other inflammatory conditions, headaches and migraine, entrapped nerves like sciatica and carpel tunnel, edema, irritable bowel syndrome, insomnia, cellulite and water-retention, stress and tension, scars and adhesions and many other conditions. Massage cupping does this by lifting connective tissue, facilitating hydration and blood flow to the tissues, and opening the lymphatic pathways so they can drain excess fluid and toxins. The back, abdomen, chest, neck, face, soles of the feet and limbs may be treated.
